‘Go Pink at the Links’ raises $54,000 in Bridgeville

BRIDGEVILLE — The Bayhealth Foundation recently hosted its 10th consecutive — and newly coined — “Go Pink at the Links” golf tournament as an extension of Bayhealth’s annual “Go Pink!” effort in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Hosted at Heritage Shores Golf Course, the event raised $54,000 to directly assist the local fight against breast cancer through the Bayhealth Cancer Institute.

The funding will strengthen the health system’s continued work to offer innovative treatments and services for those battling breast and other types of cancers.

“It is our honor to continue supporting the Bayhealth Cancer Institute in their fight against breast cancer — and all cancers,” said foundation president Lindsay A. Rhodenbaugh. “We were excited to share our fresh take on this tried-and-true event, and we look forward to building upon our efforts in the years to come.”

The foundation also hosted a donor event at Benvenuto in Milford prior to the tournament. The event highlighted the Bayhealth Cancer Institute’s nurse navigator program via a panel discussion with service line leaders and clinicians. It also featured a local breast cancer patient, who shared her positive experience in the program.
