Members of the Delaware State Federation of Women’s Clubs heeded the plea of those suffering from the war in Ukraine.
Statewide, more than $10,000 has been donated by DSFWC participants to various relief organizations for the Ukrainian people. Many clubs chose to contribute through UNICEF, an affiliate partner.
Locally, the Village Improvement Association of Rehoboth Beach gave nearly $5,000 to World Central Kitchen, a nonprofit organization feeding refugees at the Poland/Ukraine border.
The General Federation of Women’s Club of Ukraine was working on the ground to teach first aid and assist in relief efforts, but its members have now evacuated to safety.
All 22 Delaware State Federation Clubs responded to the call for donations for essential services to vulnerable children and families affected by the conflict.
