DOVER — A 45-year-old woman was shot in the left arm Tuesday night in the area of Reed and New streets, Dover Police said.
Spokesman Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman said the woman was with a group of people when an unknown person began firing a gun in the area at about 9:38 p.m.
The woman suffered a non-life threatening wound while fleeing, police said.
The victim was transported to Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital by an unknown person, where she was being treated, police said. An unoccupied vehicle that was parked in the area was also struck by a single bullet.
Police ask anyone with information to call 736-7130.
