POCOMOKE CITY - Willis J. "Buster" Windsor, Jr., of Pocomoke City, died peacefully at home on Friday, November 25, 2011. He was 65. Born May 28, 1946, in Cambridge, Maryland, he was a son of the late, Willis J. and Mildred (Tawes) Windsor, Sr. Willis graduated from South Dorchester High School (class of 1965) and served two years with the Maryland Marine Police and fifteen years with the Pocomoke City Police Department. He loved to fish and spending time on his boat. He is survived by his wife, Norma Rae Moran Windsor of Pocomoke City, Md; one daughter, Carol Windsor Troast and her husband David of Pocomoke City, Md; Carol's mother, Fran Orndorff of McDaniel, Md; one step daughter, Jane Judge and her friend Donald; four brothers, William Franklin Windsor of Wingate, Md, O'Neal Windsor of Wingate, Md, Robert Windsor of East New Market, Md, and William "Snook" Windsor of Wingate, Md; one sister, Marion Windsor Powley of Rhodesdale, Md; seven grandchildren, Robert Smallwood, Amanda Neal and her husband Lance Corporal Derek Neal (USMC), David Troast, Jr. and his friend Andrea, Shannon McIntyre and her friend Ron, Kelly Cherricks and her friend Carlos, Paul Cherricks, and Jennifer Berry and her friend Camron; and three great-grandchildren, Braydon and Adrian McIntyre, and Sophia McKenzie Trostle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Willis Cleveland "Sonny" Windsor and Charles Turner; and three sisters, Elizabeth Mildred Windsor Pritchett, Marybelle Windsor Causey and Reba Windsor Disharoon. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2011, at the Thomas Funeral Home in Cambridge, Maryland. Friends may call Tuesday, November 29, 2011, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Holloway Funeral Home in Pocomoke City and one hour prior to the service Wednesday, at the Thomas Funeral Home in Cambridge. Interment will follow in Dorchester Memorial Park. Memorial contributions can be made for the upkeep of the skipjack, "Stanley Norman", to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, 6 Herndon Ave., Annapolis, MD 21403.
