CAMBRIDGE - Willie "Bucky" Wongus Jr., passed away on Friday, Nov. 28, 2008, in his home. He was 66. He was born July 5, 1942, in Cambridge, son of the late Willie and Leonia Todd Wongus Sr. Bucky, as he was called by his family and friends, enjoyed working, sports, yard work and spending time with his family. He was self-employed until his health failed. Survivors include his son, Willie Wongus III; daughter, Satira Wongus (both of Baltimore); a grandson, Ayonbre' Wongus, who he loved dearly; two brothers, Forney (Vernice) Wongus (Cambridge) and Dwayne Young (Baltimore); two sisters, Rosaleee Brannock Elsey and Sharon Burris (both of Cambridge); numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 7 p.m. tonight at Bethel AME Church 623 Pine Street Cambridge, with a viewing two hours prior to the services. Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Liners Road Cemetery.
