William Thomas Webb

CAMDEN-WYOMING - William "Billy" Thomas Webb passed away Mar. 3, 2016. Billy was born on Dec. 2, 1931 to the late M.T. Webb and Blanche Milbourne Webb. Billy graduated from Caesar Rodney High School where he was a percussionist in the band as well as the All State band, president of the Future Farmers of America, played football, and worked on his father's dairy farm outside of Camden-Wyoming. After high school, he played football for the Bulldogs, ran Webb Brothers' Del-Home Farms with his brother Wes, where they raised dairy cattle and grew grain and corn. He was a member of the Diamond State Beagle Club and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, C. Wesley Webb and Milbourne Webb; and his sister, Martha Jones. Billy married his high school sweetheart, Shirley Ann Webb, loving wife of 62 years. He was a wonderful father to his six children, Karen Abbott (Dale) of Camden, Christopher Webb (Linda) of Camden, Gary Webb (Brenda) of Lincoln, Susan Iverson (Barry) of Marydel, G. Kenneth Webb (Gale) of Marydel and Lisa Martz (Tim) of Milton. He was a proud grandfather of 14 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. He also had a true friend in his faithful dog, Nugget. Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, Mar. 7 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may visit two hours prior the service. Interment will follow at the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden. Flowers are appreciated, but the family suggests memorial contributions to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 10 Old North Rd., Camden, DE 19934 or Marydel Fire Company, 110 Fire House Lane, Marydel, DE 19964.
