Conner, 76 HARRINGTON - William Roland Conner passed away Wednesday May 15, 2013 at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. Mr. Conner was born Jan. 6, 1937 in Dover, Del. to the late Walter J. Conner and Grace Elizabeth Bennett Conner. He served in the United States Army in the late 1950's. Mr. Conner worked most of his life as a brick mason. He owned and operated Bill's Hardware at Spence's Bazaar for over 20 years. Mr. Conner enjoyed hunting, fishing playing cards and was a very big practical joker. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Marie Conner Denson and sister in law, Rheita Conner. He is survived by his wife, Elsie Dyer Conner of Harrington; daughters, Vicki Warren and her husband William Warren, Jr. of Denton of Denton, Md., Grace Boney and her husband Robert Boney, Sr. of Felton, Del.; grandchildren; seven stepchildren; brothers, Bobby Conner of Dover, Del., Donald Conner of Pottstown, Pa.; sister, Louise Holcomb and her husband Jay and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 20, 2013 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.100) Dover. Family and friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday evening May 19, 2013. Interment will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover. Letters of condolence may be sent, and guestbook signed at torbertfuneral.com.
