GREENWOOD - William H. "Bill" Mitchell Sr., of Greenwood, went home to be with his Lord, Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012 at Christiana Care in Newark. He was born Mar. 18, 1937 in Wilmington, the son of James and Alice Mitchell. Bill worked for New Process Fibre for many years. He was a member of Hickory Ridge Community Church in Greenwood. Bill enjoyed fishing, golfing, and painting. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers; and one sister. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Karen Yoder Mitchell; six sons, Bill Jr., of Rochester, MN, Byron of Waukesha, WI, Bradley of St. Frances, WI, Bruce of Greenwood, Brett of Dousman, WI, and Blair Mitchell of Ashville, N.C.; and one daughter, Beckett Harman of Seaford; 11 grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Hickory Ridge Community Church, in Greenwood. Interment will be private.
