MILFORD - William Brent Lilly passed away with his family by his side on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. Brent was born in Seaford on November 6, 1957 the son of William Clark and Sudie (Ellison) Lilly. He was employed with the State of Delaware as part of the custodial and grounds maintenance personnel for the Milford School District, retiring from his position after 18 years. Brent loved to fish whether from a boat on a fresh water pond or in the surf at the beaches. He enjoyed deer hunting and watching Nascar racing as a loyal fan of Dale Earnhardt, Jr. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bradley Lilly. Brent is survived by his wife of 28 years, Tracy Hitch- Lilly, his daughter, Jade Hitch- Lilly; his parents, William Clark and Sudie Lilly of Milford; a sister and brother-in-law, Tara and Clifford Coverdale of Milford; his father-in-law, Marvin Hitch and brother-in-law, Craig Hitch, both of Milford; four nephews, Keith Coverdale and his wife Donna, Jeff Coverdale and his wife Lindsey, Thomas Lilly and his wife Venus, and Daniel Lilly, and a great niece, Alison Coverdale. A memorial service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at the First Presbyterian Church, 101 S. Walnut St, Milford. The family will greet friends following the service in Fellowship Hall. Burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE, 19963. Arrangements handled by Rogers Funeral Home, Milford.
