William A. Rea Sr., 65

MILFORD - William A. Rea Sr., of Milford, died on Sunday, Aug. 16, 2009, at home. He was 65. Mr. Rea was born in Lancaster, Pa., the son of the late William Rea and Catherine Mitchell Rea. He was a security officer. He enjoyed fishing, antique cars, metal detecting, history and playing the World of War craft video game. He was a master mason with membership in Temple Lodge #9 in Milford. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Gaston Rea; two children, William A. Rea Jr., and Michael P. Rea and his fiancé' Jackie Sanfilippo, all of Milford; stepdaughters, Stephanie Pine and her husband Larry of Wilmington, and Ann Henry of Lincoln; four grandchildren, William A. Rea III, Jeremie A. Rea, Jordan Taylor and Jacquelyn Henry; two sisters, Janet Wilkins of Milford, Christene Marchetti of Atlantic Highlands, N.J.; and brother, Sonny Taylor of Lancaster, Pa.; and one nephew, Robert Overstreet of Virginia. Services will be private. Contributions may be made to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963. Arrangements handled by Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St., Milford.
