READING, Pa. - On Sept. 30, 2010, Wesley Michael Loper was called Home to Glory in Reading, Pa., at the age of 74. He graduated from William Henry High School in 1954. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 to 1958. He retired from U.S. Steel after 30 years. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Claudia Loper; three daughters, Jackie, Arlene, and Michelle; two stepdaughters, Rosemary and Carla; and one son, Michael; his brother, Alphonso Miles and wife Sylvia; and his sisters, Phyllis R. Miles Kennedy, all of Dover, Del., and Eleanor Loper Young of Reading. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eva Miles Loper and Roy Loper; his sisters, Arlene Sullivan, Barbara Johns, Marie Banks, and Margaret Douglas; and brothers, William Loper and Robert Loper. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Oct. 7, 2010, at Gallman-Sonosi Funeral Home, 910 Chesnut St., Reading, PA 19602.
