Wayne Robert Watters, 70
SEAFORD - Wayne Robert Watters, formerly of Wilmington and North Attleboro, Mass., died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2008. He was 70. He was born in Attleboro, Mass., the son of the late Anna Florence Cassidy and Raymond Basil Watters. Mr. Watters was a former chef with Harry M. Stevens, Inc. for over 20 years at various racetracks around the country, his home track being Brandywine Racetrack in Wilmington. He was also the owner of the Hideaway Lounge in Wilmington for 10 years, retiring in 1994. He is survived by two sons, Kenneth Watters and Raymond Watters, both of Rising Sun, Md.; two step-daughters, Linda Bird and Barbara Whitehead, both of Wilmington; a brother, Raymond Basil Watters, of North Attleboro, Mass.; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 19, 2008 in Riverview Gardens Cemetery, Wilmington. Arrangements by Watson-Yates Funeral Home, Seaford, DE.
