HARRINGTON - Wayne L. Bright, of Harrington, died Thursday, Dec. 18, 2008, in his home. He was 65. Mr. Bright was born in Baltimore, Md., the son of the late Arlie and Agnes (Roe) Bright. He worked as a grounds maintenance man at the Delaware State Fairgrounds for 20 years before retiring in the early 1990's. He also worked at Tru-Blue as a gas station attendant for 5 years. He enjoyed going to the horse races and playing bingo. He also loved to spend time with his family. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan and would watch them play whenever he had the chance. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margie (Porter) Bright; two sisters, Betty Kemp and Bobbie Joe Wyatt; three brothers, Morris Wyatt, James Wyatt and Donald Bright; a niece, Cathy Steerman; and a half-sister, Eloise Darrell. He is survived by his companion/ Janet Mullins; a brother/ Reynolds Bright and his wife Nola of Milford; several nieces and nephews and his dog Prince, who was just like a child to him. Services were on Monday Dec. 22, 2008, at the McKnatt, Carpenter & Baker Funeral Home, 50 Commerce St., Harrington. Burial was in Hollywood Cemetery, Milford - Harrington Highway, Harrington. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
