DOVER - Wanda "Jackie" Divita passed away Mon., Sept. 9, 2013 at Kent General Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Divita was born July 18, 1943 in Dover. She worked for Capitol School District as a secretary and was enjoying her retirement. Mrs. Divita was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Elks Lodge #1903, and the Modern Maturity Center in Dover. She enjoyed reading, lunching with her friends, and computers; especially her iPad. Mrs. Divita loved her Yorkie, "Bella". In addition to her parents, Dorothy and Albert Hurley of Dover, she was also preceded in death by her son, Benny Divita, II in 2008. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Frank Divita of Dover; daughter, Debbie Ludeman and her husband John of Leesburg, Va.; son, Frank Divita, Jr. and his wife Janet of Springfield, Va.; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Divita of Dover; brother, Albert "Chipper" Hurley of Middletown, Del.; sisters, Terri Phillips and her husband Lloyd of Missoula, Mont., Gayle Wills and her husband Randy of Felton, Del.; grandchildren, Stephanie Vargas and her husband Michael, Dustin Ludeman, Sarah, Amanda, Becket and Deklyn Divita. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Sat., Sept. 14, 2013 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening. Interment will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Kent County SPCA, 32 Shelter Circle, Camden, DE 19934.
