Stevenson, 63 GEORGETOWN - Wanda Audene Stevenson, age 63, of Georgetown, died Sunday, April 22, 2012, at her residence surrounded by her caretaker and family members after a lengthy illness. Wanda was born Aug. 15, 1948, in Georgetown to Florence Bailey, and the late Charles E. (Brownie) Stevenson Jr. Wanda was a graduate of the former WM. C. Jason Comprehensive High School in Georgetown. Wanda worked as a nursing assistant at the Methodist Manor House in Seaford, before stopping due to failing health. As a youth Wanda attended Prospect AME church, she also would attend Lighthouse Christian church in Milford. She is survived by her caretaker and companion, Howard H. Cherry of Georgetown; mother, Florence Bailey of Philadelphia; brother, Victor Pettijohn of Philadelphia; and sister, Carla Phillips of Ellendale. Services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, April 28, 2012, at Bethel AME Church, Mulberry St., Milton, friends may call at the church one hour before service. Arrangements by Miller Funeral & Cremation Services, 302-947-1144.
