Walter F. Nicholson, 90 MILFORD - Walter F. Nicholson, 90, of Milford, formerly of Ewing, entered into God's eternal care on Friday, April 9, 2010, at the Milford Memorial Hospital in Milford. Born in Newark, N.J., Mr. Nicholson was a former resident of the Trenton area for 36 years and had resided in Delaware since 1991. He retired after 25 years as an air traffic controller for the F.A.A. and was formerly employed by the City of Morristown Airport, and the Mercer County Airport. He was a WWII veteran who served in the New Jersey Army National Guard 112th Field Artillery Regiment. Walter was a former member of the V.F.W. Post in Greensboro, Md., and a past member of the Trenton Elks B.P.O. E. Lodge #105. Son of the late Thomas J. and Catherine Bentley Nicholson; husband of the late Dorothy M. Nicholson; brother of the late Eileen N. Atkins, and infant Dorothy Nicholson; he is survived by his sister, Mary L. Nicholson of Glastonbury, Conn. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 14, at the Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Rd., Lawrence Twp., NJ 08648. Friends and family may call prior to Mass from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Church of St. Ann's Chapel. Burial will follow in the Ewing Church Cemetery, 100 Scotch Rd., Ewing, NJ 08628. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Delaware Veterans Home, Attn: Jessica Dudley, 100 Delaware Veterans Blvd., Milford, DE 19963 or call (800) 344-9900.
