WILMINGTON — The Alzheimer’s Association is inviting the community to join the fight to end Alzheimer’s by participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Saturday at a new location — Tubman Garrett Riverfront Park in Wilmington.
On walk day, participants honor those affected by Alzheimer’s with the poignant Promise Garden ceremony—a mission-focused experience that signifies our solidarity in the fight against the disease. The colors of the Promise Garden flowers represent people’s connection to Alzheimer’s — their personal reasons to end the disease.

The organization hosted another Walk to End Alzheimer’s last month in Rehoboth Beach which featured 76 teams comprised of 498 participants and raised $160,000.
