Wade Hampton Poole

Musician FELTON - Wade Hampton Poole, passed away on March 25, 2012, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. His lifelong companion Barbara Magee was by his side. Wade was born in Chester, Pa. on May 9, 1945. His other survivors include two sisters, Barbara Karabin of Springville, Pa. and Sandy Muncy of Katy, Texas; her sons, John and Jeff; a stepdaughter, Lisa Lambert; grandson, John Clendaniel of Magnolia; and step-grandchild, Jenna Morris of Frederica. Throughout Delmarva, Wade was a highly regarded electric guitarist and lead vocalist. He played with various groups, most notably with Earl Teat's Band, Wade had an extensive collection of Chet Atkins' recordings, although he was equally at home with blues, soft jazz, and easy listening music. Apart from his musical talent, Wade will also be remembered for his warm sense of humor, his caring ways, and ability to put people at ease. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 1, 2012, at Maranatha Fellowship, 60 Deer Track Lane, Dover, Delaware, A private family burial at Sharon Hills/Odd Fellows Cemetery in Smyrna will follow.
