Dover - Virginia A. Jones went home to be with the Lord, Friday, January 29, 2016, in Silver Lake Nursing Home. Virginia was born, August 8, 1937, to the late, Theodore & Marie(Keller) Frase; in Dover , DE, later moving to Chesapeake Bay, Prince Georges County, before returning to Dover. In her younger years, Virginia worked as a switchboard operator for D.C. General Hospital & also in Dover. She had been a substitute teacher in Prince Georges County, MD, and later became a loan processor for mortgages for many years. She had played basketball in High School, and later was an avid bowler. She also enjoyed watching hockey games on T.V., especially her beloved Washington Capitals. In addition to her parents, Virginia is preceded in death by her brothers, Theodore G. Frase, II, & William K. Frase; and her sisters, Louise M. Frase, and most recently, Dorothy Williams, who died on Jan. 27, 2016. Virginia is survived by four children, Charles Joseph Jones, of Dover; Amy Ann Locker & husband, Glenn, of Bowie, MD.; Jon Christian Jones & wife, JoAnna, of Baltimore, MD; and Melody Ann Halpert, of Ocean City, MD. ; her siblings, Joseph T. Frase & wife, Ginny, of Rancho Santa Fe, CA.; Margaret A. Wright & husband, Billy, of Bedford, VA.; Rosemary L. Frase, of Dover; and Richard J. Frase & wife, Pam, of Schoharie, N.Y.. and 3 grandchildren, Kevin Halpert, of Bowie, MD.; Jeremy Halpert, of College Park, MD.; and Mary Bridgers, of Bowie, MD.
