HARRINGTON — Delaware State Police on Monday identified the 53-year-old pedestrian killed in a hit and run crash three days earlier on U.S. 13 south of Corn Crib Road.
Authorities said Rickey D. Honeycutt was crossing the highway from west to east, just south of the Corn Crib Road when he was struck.
Mr. Honeycutt was thrown to the pavement on the shoulder of U.S. 13.
The vehicle didn’t stop and fled the scene, police said. A passing motorist discovered the victim in the roadway. Mr. Honeycutt was transported to Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
