NORTH EAST - Vernon Robert Ford, 69, died Friday, July 6, 2007, in Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.
Born in North East, on Aug. 12, 1937, he was the son of the late Alvin and the late Anna M. (Creswell) Ford. He enjoyed fishing, crabbing, duck and goose hunting.
Mr. Ford was an owner and operator of Ford Concrete and V. & J. Concrete in North East.
He is survived by his wife and companion of 17 years, Jean Reed Ford, two daughters, Cindy Ford of North East, Monica Len Ford-Duvall of Elkton, and two sons, Alfred "Allie" Ford and Charles Henry Ford of North East; and grandchildren, Bobby, Allie, Kyle, Sonny Len, Charlie, Hanna May, Gabriele, Georgia Ann, and Kyky. His brother is Henry Ford of North East. A son, Robert V. Ford, died July 17, 1984.
A memorial service was held Tuesday at Elkton Church of The Nazarene, 377 Nottingham Road, Elkton, Md. 21921. Memorials maybe made to the Elkton Church of the Nazarene. Arrangements were handled by Crouch Funeral Home & Memorials, North East.
