SMYRNA/CLAYTON - Tyler William "TGebz" Gebhart passed away on Friday, March 8, 2013. Tyler was born March 23, 1989 in Dover, DE. TGebz, as he was known by his friends, was a 2007 graduate of Smyrna High School. He also attended Delaware State University and College of the Albemarle. He was a standout athlete for the Smyrna Eagles sports teams. Tyler's passion in life was for his family, many friends, sports, and the outdoors. He was a skilled fresh and salt water fisherman and waterfowl hunter and marksman. Tyler was also an avid fan of the North Carolina Tarheels and the Dallas Cowboys. His unique personality and sense of humor endeared him to many. He is survived by his parents, Kyle Gebhart and Valarie Kelley; his brothers, Alec Gebhart and Hugo Johnson; his cousins, Melissa Foraker, Jennifer Foraker, and Dylan Voss; his aunt, Karol Gebhart; his uncle, Kirby Gebhart; his grandparents, Donald and Mary Kelley; his grandparent, Karl Gebhart; and his significant other, Tori Brien. A viewing for family and friends will be held on Tuesday evening, March 12, 2013 from 4 to 7 p.m in Asbury United Methodist Church, located on 20 W. Mt. Vernon St., Smyrna, DE. Funeral services will begin at 7 pm. At the family's request, camouflage attire is optional to honor TGebz. Burial will be privately held. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made in Tyler's memory to Bayhealth Medical Center, 640 S. State St., Dover, DE 19901, for the excellent level of care that they provided.
