DOVER – Reassessment data collection is now complete in the incorporated areas of Kent County – cities and towns – and collection is now taking place in the unincorporated area of Little Creek Hundred.
Tyler Technologies data collectors will be working close to areas surrounding the towns where data collection has already taken place.
When Little Creek Hundred is completed, the next area Tyler will move into will be Duck Creek Hundred, which are the areas around Smyrna, Leipsic, and Woodland Beach.
As a reminder, data collectors are not required to enter the interior of properties. They will only ask questions at the door and measure exteriors.
If no one is at the property, the data collector will complete an exterior inspection, including exterior measurements, and will estimate the interior using similar properties and/or existing assessment data.
Due to security protocols, no assessment brochures will be left at the property, however, a data mailer verification document will be to the property owner’s address.
Property inspections will occur between normal business hours, Monday through Friday. Saturday inspections may occur over the duration of the project as needed.
Data collectors can be identified by their bright yellow “Tyler” vest and Kent County issued photo ID badge, and can also be identified on the Reassessment Section of Kent County Levy Court website at: https://empower.tylertech.com/rs/015-NUU-525/images/kent-county-data-collectors.pdf
Tyler Technologies has an office in the Kent County Administrative Complex at 555 Bay Road in Dover and can be contacted by phone at 302-744-9565 or email KentCountyDE@tylertech.com.
