DOVER — Two juvenile males were expected to survive after being shot in the 400 block of Barrister Place on Tuesday, Dover police spokesman Sgt. Mark Hoffman said.
According to police, a 17-year-old was struck in the lower torso and a 12-year-old suffered a wound to the hand. The shooting occurred at approximately 8:57 p.m.
Sgt. Hoffman said several shell casings were found in the rear of a home on the block.
The older teen was flown to ChristianaCare, Newark, and the younger male remained in Dover for treatment, police said, adding that the victims provided multiple and differing accounts of the incident.
