SEAFORD - Police said two males ages 18 and 17 were charged after an incident involving the discharge of a starter gun at Seaford High on Oct. 6.
According to Seaford Deputy Police Chief spokesperson Michael Rapa, the juvenile, who does not attend Seaford High, discharged the starter gun into the air. A school resource officer had been advised of a fight between two persons on school grounds at approximately 2:40 p.m.
The officer was told that shots had been fired as he exited the building, and police said he located several persons.
Investigation determined that the juvenile and an 18-year-old man, had been involved in the altercation. Both were taken into custody without further incident and then released as the investigation continued.
The suspects turned them in to police on Wednesday, Deputy Chief Rapa said.
The man was charged with one count of disorderly conduct. He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court and released on his own recognizance.
The juvenile was charged with three counts of aggravated menacing and one count of disorderly conduct. He was arraigned in Family Court and released on his own recognizance.
