DOVER — Two Dover men were arrested on drug and firearms offenses in the 100 block of North New Street on Wednesday, Dover police spokesman Sgt. Mark Hoffman said.
The men were contacted by officers after a curfew check on an unrelated subject in the area, authorities said. Antwaun Campbell, 33, was seen with a red object in his hand, which turned out to be a bandanna containing 9.4 grams of cocaine, police said.
Tyrese Bailey, 20, who was with Mr. Campbell, was in possession of two handguns, 1.3 grams of marijuana and 5.2 grams of cocaine, Sgt. Hoffman said.
Mr. Bailey was charged with possession with intent to deliver crack cocaine, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a person possessing a controlled substance, possession of a firearm/ammunition by a person prohibited, possession of crack cocaine, possession of marijuana, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia and loitering. He was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution, Georgetown, on a $34,450 secured bond.
Mr. Campbell was charged with possession with intent to deliver crack cocaine, possession of crack cocaine, breach of release and loitering. He was released on an own-recognizance bond.
