DOVER — A 42-year-old Dover man was charged with drug offenses following a Wednesday traffic stop that concluded a three month investigation.
Ronald O. Freeman was charged with dealing cocaine and marijuana sale, Delaware State Police spokeswoman Master Cpl. Melissa Jaffe said. He was stopped at approximately 11:30 p.m. in the intersection of Del. 10 and Bay Road after police received information he was allegedly traveling out of state to pick up drugs, authorities said.
Mr. Freeman was taken into custody without incident.
A vehicle search located approximately 365.07 grams of cocaine, over $200 in suspected drug proceeds and drug paraphernalia.
Charges included possession of a controlled substance in a Tier 5 quantity, with intent to deliver a controlled substance in a Tier 4 quantity and drug paraphernalia. Mr. Freeman was arraigned before Justice of the Peace Court and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in Georgetown on $40,500 secured bond.
