Tony (Arthur A.C.) Markl MARYDEL, Md. - Patricia A. (Kelly, Price) Markl and Tony (Arthur A.C.) Markl, of Marydel, Md., both passed in an auto accident as they were returning home from dinner on Wednesday, April 11, 2012, west of Camden Wyoming, Del. Pat, 71, is survived by four children, Harry (Willie) Price of Wagontown, Pa., Michael Price of Preston, Md., Timmy Price of Amenia, N.Y., and Beth Foard of Chesapeake City, Md.; six grandchildren, Andrew, Laura, Michael, Amanda, Alex, and Tommy; brothers, Butchy and Danny Kelly; and sisters, Cathy Sheller and Peggy Kelly. Tony, 77, is survived by his daughter, Lise Lingo of Herndon, Va.; son, Eric Markl of Wilmington, Del.; three grandchildren, Aric, Alec, and Mariel; and brother, Rudi Markl. Pat lived an active life: she was a great and beloved mother and grandmother; a sailing Captain, Highland cattle farmer, and world traveler. She worked alongside Tony recovering fabric-covered aircraft. Tony never slowed down either: a great mentor, a keen traveler, and a lover of languages, he was a USAF Skyraider pilot in Vietnam, a PanAm copilot, and a renowned tailwheel flight instructor and fabric recovery expert. Pat and Tony were married for 28 years and lived life to the fullest in everything they did, a good lesson for all. A celebration honoring their lives will be held in early May at their home. In lieu of flowers, the families ask that donations in the name of Pat and Tony Markl be made to The American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) or The Massey Air Museum, Massey, Md. (www.masseyaero.org). Letters of condolence can be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
