SLAUGHTER BEACH - Tod Franklin Currey died Friday, March 28, 2014 at home. Tod was a graduate of Caesar Rodney High School. He enjoyed walking along Slaughter Beach, gathering rocks for his collection. He also enjoyed gardening, playing card games and dominoes, and loved his dogs. Tod was preceded in death by his father and step-mother Gene and Mary Currey; his maternal grandparents Huey and Irene Fitzgerald; his paternal grandparents Franklin and Marie Currey and his sister Stacy Dill. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Sandra I. Dill and her husband John, of Slaughter Beach; two sisters, Sherrie Lech and her husband Gene, of Arkansas, and Shaina Currey- Gillespie and her husband David, of Slaughter Beach; brother-in-law, Jeff Weinberg, of Lincoln; four nephews, Michael Lech, Quinn Currey, Tyler Gillespie, and Jackson Weinberg; one niece, Jennifer Lech; three step-brothers, John Dill III and his wife Kelly, and George Dill, all of Illinois; and Henry Nutter, of Harrington; two step-sisters, Lisa Rains and Debbie Rothermel, both of Harrington; and his longtime companion Marilyn Katcher, of Milford. Friends may call from 4 - 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford where a Celebration of Tod's Life will be held at 5 p.m. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
