SEAFORD - Timothy Ross Vantrease, 48, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011, at his home in Seaford. He was born Dec. 7, 1962, in Fort Campbell, Ky. He was predeceased by his twin brother at birth, Thomas Richard; his beloved step-father, Ike Truitt; his aunt, Patricia Griffith Morgan; his paternal grandparents, T.L. and Lois Vantrease; and his maternal grandparents, Emmett and Mabel Griffith. Tim is survived by his mother, Marilyn Truitt of Seaford; father, T.R. Vantrease of Madison, Tenn.; sister, Vicky Heby (Jacky) of Hollywood, Fla.; sister, Vanessa Derrickson (Jody) of Mount Clare, W.Va.; brother, Bob Vantrease (Gale) of Newark; and sister, Jennifer Justice (John) of Laurel. He was a local farmer and founded TruVan Farms with Ike, which sold produce for years to many Sussex County grocery retailers. He was also previously employed at Penco Corporation in Seaford. He was a loving uncle to 9 nieces and nephews. Tim's sense of humor was contagious, and he will be sadly missed by his many friends and family. Final arrangements made by Cranston Funeral Home.
