Conlon, 43 SMYRNA - Timothy Patrick Conlon of Smyrna, age 43, died suddenly on Sunday, July 27, 2014. Tim graduated from Smyrna High School in 1988. He served as Class President all four years. He was a member of the cross country and golf teams. He was a cast member in such wonderful productions as "Grease", "Fame" and "Oklahoma". Tim attended West Chester University and Delaware Tech before enlisting in the United States Navy as a boilermaker on the U.S.S. Suribachi. He was a pharmacy technician for Kent General Hospital and Eckerd's Drugs, a banquet planner for the former Sheraton Inn in Dover and a counselor at the former Au Clair School in Bear. Tim was a huge movie buff and could quote lines from his favorites at the most appropriate times. He had a wonderful sense of humor which garnered him many, many friends. He loved his family and his friends without reservation. He worshipped the sun at the beach, the beauty of the Poconos at Buck Hill Falls and the EAGLES!! He was trying to become more interested in hunting and fishing, both passions of his son, David. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Dwyer Conlon. He is also predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Janet and Dave Williams formerly of Wyoming, and his paternal grandparents, Jean and Joseph Conlon, formerly of Buck Hill Falls, Pennsylvania. Tim is survived by his only son, David; his parents, Pat and Mary Conlon of Smyrna; his brother, Jeremy (Laura) of Villanova, Pa.; his sister, Kate Miller (Tyler) of Bedford, N.Y.; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. A visitation for family and friends will be 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday, July 31, 2014 at the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S. Main St. in Smyrna. Memorial services will begin at 7 p.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, a scholarship fund has been set up in his son David's name to pursue his educational goals.
