Thomas Randall Murphy

SALISBURY - Thomas Randall Murphy passed away on Monday, May 8, 2017, at Lakeside Assisted Living at Mallard Landing. Born in Vienna, he was the son of the late Thomas Owen Murphy and Mabel Angie Fleming Murphy.
"Randy" retired as a Boiler Operator for Delmarva Power at the Vienna Plant in 1987. He was a member of the Bethesda United Methodist Church in Salisbury, was a longtime member of the Senior Bowling League in Salisbury, and a former member of the Vienna Ruritan Club. He was an avid gardener and wood worker. He and his late wife loved to travel, especially overseas.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Mae Oliphant Murphy in 1995; a brother, Bernard Murphy; and a sister, Mary Walther.
Thomas is survived by two daughters, Teresa Murphy Cheesman, of Salisbury and Janet M. Charnock and her husband, Douglas, of Onancock, Va.
A graveside services will be held on Monday, May 15, 2017, at 11 a.m., at the Oliphant Family Cemetery in Vienna, with Rev. Dr. Daniel Rich officiating.
