Thomas O. 'Tommy' Landon, Jr., 62

CRISFIELD - Thomas O. "Tommy" Landon Jr., 62, died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2007, at McCready Memorial Hospital in Crisfield.

Born in Crisfield on Jan. 5, 1945, he was the only son of Helen Tyler Landon of Crisfield and the late Thomas O. Landon who died Dec. 24, 1999.

A graduate of Crisfield High School and Wesley College in Dover, he was employed at the former Saltz's Confectionery in Crisfield in his earlier years. In his later years, he was a card dealer in Las Vegas but came home to Crisfield to care for his parents several years ago. He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Crisfield.

He was an avid gun collector and was always "on the go." He was a great cook, and enjoyed trying new recipes for people to sample. He also was a very giving person who was interested in the welfare of others.

He is survived by his mother, Helen Tyler Landon of Crisfield; his aunt, Edna Jane Daly of Seaford; many cousins; and a host of friends.

Along with his father, he was preceded in death by an aunt, Edna Mae Dorsey and an uncle, Sidney Landon.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 13 at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield. Pastor Jeffrey James officiated. Burial followed in Sunnyridge Memorial Park in Crisfield.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to be sent to Asbury U. M. Church , c/o Beth Clough, 9 Heron Way, Crisfield, Maryland 21817.

Arrangements were in the care of Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield.
