Frederick Toomey, 60 GUMBORO - Thomas "Fred" Frederick Toomey died at his home on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, after a long struggle with cancer. His family was by his side. He was the youngest of six children of the late Thomas and Ethel Toomey. Fred loved to hunt and fish. He loved and raised animals of all types. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Toomey. He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Toomey; and three children; Frederick Toomey of Pittsville, Carolyn Beauchamp (Kevin) of Parsonsburg, and Dana White (Dustin) of Delmar; five grandchildren, Jacob Toomey, Caleb and Abigail Beauchamp and Kaitlyn and Alyssa White; three brothers, Kennard Toomey (Pearl) of Willards, Walter Toomey (Ollie) of Laurel and Daniel Toomey (Jean) of N.C. A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 27 at the Gumboro Community Center. Family and friends are asked to bring a covered dish.
