MILLSBORO - Thomas E. Simmons died suddenly on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, He was born in Lancaster, Pa., son of the late William A. Simmons Jr. and Peggy A. Wiker Lheureux who resides in Ephrata, Pa. Mr. Simmons was currently working in the Maintenance division of Mountaire Farms of Millsboro. Working hard and living life to the fullest he enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, carpentry and working on puzzles. While having one of his favorite beverages, he would watch Smokey and the Bandit, Dukes of Hazzard and MacGyver shows. Being an avid Eagles fan and watching Dale Earnhardt Jr. race around in car #8 were also high on his list of important things not to miss. He is survived by his mother, and her husband, George Lheureux; his step-mother, Joyce Simmons of Georgetown; daughter, Payten Leppo of Milton; brothers, Timothy E. Simmons and girlfriend Deana of Magnolia, and William Simmons, III and wife Shellie, of Georgetown, his sister, JoAnn Stewart and her husband Christopher of Seaford; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and a very close family friend, Philip Farrah of Florida. Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday March 3, 2013 at the Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE.
