GEORGETOWN - Thomas A. Phillips passed away May 1, 2013 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital after a tragic car accident Tuesday afternoon. Tom was always a gi+ver, up to the day he passed, being A Gift of Life Donor. Born and raised in Georgetown, De. He is predeceased by his parents, Woodrow and Garnetta Phillips and his brother Paul Phillips. Tom is survived by his wife Christine of 15 years; brother Mark Phillips; sisters, Debbie Long, Mary Holston, and Anna Miller. He also had two children, Trish Knox and Travis Phillips; three step-children, Duane and Jennifer Sutton and Michele Smith; and nine grandchildren. Tom loved working, going to the beach, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a dedicated hard worker with 29 years of service at Justin Tanks and 9 years in his own business with his wife, Phillips General Repair. Memorial services will be held at Gumboro Fire hall on Saturday, May 11th, 2013 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. There will also be a Softball Benefit in his honor on May 19th, 2013 at 9 a.m. at the Millsboro Little League field.
