DOVER — A 50-year-old Dover man was charged with a third-offense DUI after his vehicle crashed into a parked car Thursday, Dover police spokesman Sgt. Mark Hoffman said.
Officers responded to the incident at approximately 10:10 p.m. in the area of North Governors Avenue and Clara Street, authorities said. The driver, James Parker, appeared to be intoxicated when contacted by officers, Sgt. Hoffman said.
A DUI investigation ensued, and police said Mr. Parker was found to be under the influence of alcohol and arrested.
Besides the DUI charge, police said, Mr. Parker was charged with several traffic offenses related to the crash.
