Wright Orth, 89 DOVER - Thelma Virginia Wright Orth passed away peacefully at Capitol Healthcare in Dover on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013. Mrs. Orth was born April 4, 1923 in Vernon, Del., the daughter of the late Frank B. and Mabel (Hulbert) Wright. She worked as an accountant and business woman for many years. Thelma was a multiple award winning needle woman, winning several blue ribbons yearly at the Delaware State Fair. She also loved working in her vegetable garden, her children and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Orth; her sister, Agnes Payne; and two brothers, Donald and Albert Wright. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Hastings of Milton, Del.; two sons, Albert J. Orth and his wife, Margaret of Hartly, Del., and Phillip J. Orth of Va.; her sister, Daisy Hill of Dover,; her sister-in-law, Dorothy Wright of Milford, Del.; three grandchildren, Sarah E. Hastings of Boston, Mass., Thomas B. Hastings of Newark, Del., and Callye M. Lombard and her husband, Charles of Titisville, Fla.; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Graveside services will be privately held by the family. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Roby United Methodist Church, PO Box 256, Magnolia, DE 19962.
