MILFORD - Terry S. Pikus died Tuesday, May 22, 2012. Terry was born in Dover in 1937, the son of the late Louis and Dora Pikus. Terry began working for his father at Lou's Bootery in Milford in 1949. He later became a partner with his brother, Skip, until he retired in 2000. Terry also worked as a sales representative for I.G. Burton in Milford until again retiring in 2008. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing. Terry attended the University of North Carolina, American University and Wesley College. He also served in the Delaware National Guard. He is survived by his son Jeff, of New York; two brothers Skip Pikus, of Milford and Rubin Pikus of New York; nephews, David, Steven, and Eric Pikus; nieces, Andrea Hirsch and Marcy Katz; many cousins; and great nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Michelle, Phyllis and Bill Fox, and Renee Smith for the care, friendship and support they provided to Terry. A service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thurs., May 24, 2012, at the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford. Burial will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover. Shiva will be observed on Thursday and Friday evening at the residence of Tina and Matthew Faulkner, 23 Elizabeth Street, Milford, DE. Instead of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Terry's memory to Temple Beth Sholom, 340 N. Queen Street, Dover, DE 19904.
