BRIDGEVILLE - Terry R. Callaway passed away at home surrounded by Love on May 18, 2014. He was born in Seaford, DE on February 16, 1962 to the late Ralph and Margie Callaway. He was raised on a Farm outside of Hardscrabble, DE until his parents and siblings relocated to the Milford area in the late 1970's. After leaving high school, he was enlisted in the US Army from 1980 to 1983, serving in Fort Knox, KY and Wiesbaden W Germany. In 1988 he began his career with Fitzgerald's Auto Salvage and Recycling as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic and Shop Foreman where he continued working until his health declined. Terry loved his Family dearly, enjoyed the company of good friends, maintaining and working the Family Farm, driving his Dad's JD Tractor, watching his cows grow and especially the laughter of his GrandGirls. Besides his parents, Terry is predeceased by his paternal Grandparents, Louis and Elsie Callaway, his maternal Grandparents, Claude and Rachel Absher, his Sister, Sabrina Callaway Hoyer, Uncles Travis and David Absher Sr., his Aunt Joan Wynes and Cousin, David Absher. Terry is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen, Daughter Jennifer and her daughter, Sydne. His Son Dylan, his Daughter Maddilynn and her mother, Courtney. Also surviving is his Brother Jerry Callaway, Sr. and his wife Mary Ann. His Sister Tina Enfield and her husband James. Nephew Jerry Jr, Nieces, Tabitha, Dana and Courtney and one great nephew Jerry, III. His Uncle and Aunt Frank and Diane Callaway, his Great Uncle and Great Aunt Warren and Janetta Callaway, his Father in law Ed Evans, two sisters in law, three brothers in law and their children and families, many cousins, close friends from High School and their families and his beloved fourleggers Choco, Rudy and Jack. A Celebration of Terry's life will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at the VFW Post 6483 in Milford, DE at 2 PM. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Hardesty Chapel, Bridgeville, DE. Since Terry didn't care for suits, ties or uniforms, casual attire is encouraged. In lieu of flowers his family suggests donations to the Ronald McDonald House, the American Diabetes Association or the Sussex County SPCA.
