FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Teresa "Teri" Martinez of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and formerly of Dover, Delaware passed away Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013 after a brief battle with cancer. She was 50. Teri graduated from Dover High School, Class of 1981. She enjoyed her grandkids, working out and walking. Teri was preceded in death by her father, Jesse Gasper. She is survived by her mother, Joyce Gasper of Wyoming; a sister, Karen Gasper of North Carolina; a son, Guillermo Martinez of Florida; two daughters, Michelle Martinez of Washington state and Tiffany Martinez of Dover; eight grandchildren; two uncles, Ed Mace and his wife Phyllis of Wyoming, and Ewart Short and his wife Betty of Florida; several cousins and nephews. A memorial service will be 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 18, 2013 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where a gathering will be one hour earlier.
