CAMDEN - Taryn Renee Martin, The world lost an angel at 12:35 a.m. Sunday, April 13, 2014 when Taryn Renee Martin succumbed to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. Taryn was born September 28, 2003 in Dover, Delaware to John Paul Martin and Tricia Renee Martin. Taryn Martin is a unique blend of everything wonderful in this world. Her beautiful soul radiates through her eyes and smile. She provides an endless amount of joy, peace, happiness, and love to everyone she encounters. Taryn prefers compassion and helping others to pleasing herself. She cares more about donating pet treats and supplies to the local SPCA than receiving gifts for her birthday. Taryn is not only an amazing athlete but also a true scholar. She is an avid reader and student, often reading four books at once. She enjoys helping her fellow students grasp mathematical and reading concepts. An avid soccer player well on her way to leading the US Olympic Team to win gold, she loves to practice and play the sport with boundless energy. Taryn adores animals, her family, friends, and attending school. She works hard to receive straight A's and 4's on all her DCAS testing. Taryn's entire family looks at her in awe that such a young lady could inspire, motivate, and teach adults lessons they have not yet learned themselves. She is a true inspiration and proof that goodness not only exists, but also prevails. Taryn's short but full life serves as a message of hope for all humanity. She is survived by her loving father, John Paul Martin; maternal grandmother, Sheila Garrow; paternal grandparents Diane and Bill Ferrell and Jan and Lou Martin; aunt Michelle Frazier, and uncle Patrick Martin. She is also survived by her loving godparents, Mickey and Daisey Callaway. Taryn is preceded in death by her mother, Tricia Renee Martin; her maternal grandfather Robert Garrow; and her maternal great- grandmother, Ruth Garrow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in honor of Taryn Renee Martin to one of the following charities: The Ronald McDonald House of Delaware (https://www.rmhde.org/donate-now), Delaware SPCA (http://fsac-spca.org/in-memory), or the Central Delaware Soccer Association. Calling hours and public viewing are to be held Friday April 18, 2014, from 6-9 p.m. at Tolbert Funeral Home, 1145 E. Lebanon Rd, Dover, DE. On Saturday, April 19, 2014 a viewing for close family and friends is available from 10 – 11 a.m., with formal services beginning at 11 am. A private burial will follow the formal service.
