GREENWOOD - Sylvia Jean Baker McAdams, know fondly as "Jeanie", passed away at her nieces' home in Felton on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013, on her 73rd birthday. She was born in Ridgely, Md., the daughter of the late George Francis Baker and Mary Marie Dill. Jeanie was an administrative specialist in Public Health for the State of Delaware. She also served as a clerk for Dill's Auction for over twenty years and an Avon representative for over sixty years. She loved being around horses and owned many through the years with her husband who trained them for harness racing. She loved to travel to Hawaii and enjoyed gardening and baking at her home. She had attended Capital Baptist Church and was currently attending Heritage Bible Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Keith Eugene Wolfe and Orville Lonnie McAdams; two sisters, Wanda Kenton and Charlotte Peabody. She is survived by her son, Carl Lee Wolfe and his companion Kim of Greenwood; seven siblings, Sandy Hernandez, Kay Voorhees, Faye McCall, Tommy Baker, Ricky Baker, Roy Kenton, and William Pearson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 21, 2013 at Fleischauer Funeral Home in Greenwood. A visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
