Sussex Tech welcomes new director of human resources
GEORGETOWN — Sussex Technical High School has announced Dr. Jason Peel as its director of human resources and support services, beginning in the 2023-24 year.
Dr. Peel started his education career as a Spanish teacher. Over 22 years, he served in various teaching and administrative roles in Delaware and North Carolina, most recently as the director of human resources and school climate for the Milford School District.
His degrees include a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish education from Elon University; a Master of Arts in Spanish language and literature from Middlebury College, where he studied in Madrid; a Master of School Administration from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; and a doctorate in education policy and administration from the University of Delaware.
This will be Dr. Peel’s second tenure at Sussex Tech. In 2008, he started as an assistant principal and moved to the supervisor of support services position, where he served until 2012.
He resides with his wife of 23 years, Lisa Peel, and is the father of three children enrolled in middle school, high school and college.
