Sussex County launches alert system for deed activity

Sussex County property owners have an added defense when it comes to protecting their properties.

This month, the Recorder of Deeds Office began offering the free Recording Activity Notification Service to anyone who owns property in the county. It will send emails to those who have subscribed whenever a land record is recorded with his or her registered name, with the goal of preventing fraud.
