Suspect indicted on 1st degree murder charge in Dover shooting

DOVER — Earlier this month, Jermaine A. Brown was indicted on a first-degree murder charge in the shooting of a 35-year-old man in Dover on March 30.

Tyrone Sampson, 35, died two days after being shot in the head, according to police and the Superior Court indictment. He was wounded while on Weston Drive in the early morning hours, authorities said.
Mr. Brown was 36 years old when arrested without incident on June 18 by the US Marshal’s First State Fugitive Task Force.

He was located at an apartment in the Persimmon Tree apartment complex in the 500 block of Persimmon Tree Lane.

Possession charges include firearm during the commission of a felony, firearm and ammunition by person prohibited, first-degree reckless endangering and criminal mischief.
Samantha Randall was indicted in a hindering prosecution count.
Deputy Attorney General Greg Babowal signed the indictment.
