MILFORD - Susan Louise Killian, 57, of Milford passed away at the Delaware Hospice Center after a courageous 12 year fight with cancer. Born in Dover, Susan graduated from the University of Delaware with a Master's Degree in Animal Health. Sue had worked in the AH industry for almost 30 years. She started at Intervet in Oct. 1985 in R&D as a Project Leader. Then she served as QC manager for a while and then moved back to Project Leader in R&D. She joined Schering Plough in Millsboro in April 1999 as QA Compliance Auditor and Regulatory Affairs Associate and then, through the Merck merger, had been a Senior Specialist in QA. She was a strong independent woman and served as a role model for her family. She loved her kids dearly and devoted her life to them. Susan loved to ride horses and ride them on trails, and go camping with her kids. She played the flute and would duet with her daughter. She was preceded in death by her father, Harry H. Killian. Susan is survived by her mother, Amy Elizabeth Killian; daughter, Leah Killian; son, Kevin Killian; siblings, Bonnie Harris, David Steven Killian, Karen Killian; best friend, Andrea and Tony Senturk and their son Aaron; nieces, Donna Martini and Melissa Harris; and great-niece and nephew, Amber Wilson and Kyle Martini. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, May 3, 2015 in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal St., Milton, DE 19968 where friends may call after 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the College Fund for Susan Killian's Children at any PNC Bank Branch Location.
