DOVER — Delaware surpassed the 400,000-mark for administered doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, according to the Delaware Division of Public Health’s vaccine tracker.

There have been 404.277 doses of vaccine administered as of Wednesday at 11:59 p.m., using data from the state’s immunization information system DelVAX.

A total of 141,066 individuals are fully vaccinated, including 134,185 persons who received two doses of a two-dose vaccine series and 6,881 who received one dose of a one-dose series. An additional 129,097 are partially vaccinated with one dose of a two-dose series.

Delaware received 20,930 doses on Monday, followed by a shipment of 3,710 on Tuesday and 12,870 more doses Wednesday to bring the total amount of doses delivered to the state to 411,470. An additional 89,795 doses have been delivered via the Federal Pharmacy Program.

The DPH is reporting 96,988 doses remaining in its inventory as of Wednesday at 11:59 p.m.

The DPH also reported 212 new positive cases of COVID-19 in Thursday’s update, increasing the state’s total to 93,038. Hospitalizations decreased by four compared to the day prior, down to 107 with seven considered critical as of Wednesday at 6 p.m.

One new COVID-19-related death was reported by the DPH, bringing the state’s total to 1,536. The most recent death was a 68-year-old New Castle County resident who was not a resident of a long-term care facility.

In other vaccine news, the Wilmington Veterans Affairs Medical Center is holding a COVID-19 vaccination event for veterans enrolled in VA health care Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at its medical center in Wilmington.

Veterans enrolled in VA health care are encouraged to schedule appointments, but there will be walk-in availability for eligible veterans enrolled in VA health care. Information on how to register and other frequently asked questions are available here.

Those getting vaccinated Saturday must commit to getting a second dose on April 17. Veterans must bring their VA ID to verify VA enrollment.

Enrolled veterans will be vaccinated based upon vaccine availability, the Wilmington VAMC said. Veterans may experience fluctuating wait times based upon demand, and if unable to get vaccinated during the event, Wilmington VAMC said it will work to schedule veterans for a future appointment.
