Stanley C. Frost

Dover - Stanley C. Frost passed away on October 30, 2014 at Delaware Hospice Center surrounded in love and admiration by his family. He was known for his gentle nature, caring soul, and loved by all who knew him. Stanley was born on August 2, 1929 in Ridgeway, Michigan. He was the son of the late Carroll and Alice Frost. Stanley retired from the U.S. Air Force in December 1967 after 20 years of service, going on to work at General Foods in Dover, Delaware. He then worked for the Delaware Department of Transportation and retired in May 1991. Stanley was a member of the American Legion, Walter L. Fox #2, VFW Post 7234. Stanley enjoyed traveling, hunting, cooking and spending time with family and friends. His zucchini bread was a family favorite. In addition to his parents, Stanley is preceded in death by his son Stanley, daughter Vicki Moore, and step daughter Deborah Parkowski; three brothers: Lester, Gary and Kenneth Frost; and three sisters: Jeannette Welch, Esther Mae Frost and Barbara Frost. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Florence Frost; son, Charles Frost; step sons, Arthur J. DeVeau and his wife Brenda, Jeffrey DeVeau and his wife Janie; grandchildren: Wade Moore, Heather Moore, Jennifer Biddle and her husband Shane, Ashley Best and her husband Andy and Alexandra Parkowski. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at the Church of the Holy Cross, 631 S. State Street, Dover, DE 19901. There will be a viewing on Tuesday evening, November 4, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE 19934. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963. Online condolences may be made via pippinfh@comcast.net.
