Speak Up: Marijuana: Pass it, veto it or let it ride?

Posted

House Bill 1, an act to amend the Delaware Code relating to marijuana, and House Bill 2, regarding regulation of the Delaware Marijuana Control Act, were delivered to Gov. John Carney’s office last week, which gave him 10 days from their receipt to sign or veto each piece of legislation or to allow them to become laws without his signatures. What should he do and why?

  • Another veto would be political suicide. He should let the 10 days run out and let them become laws. That’s what the majority of the population and the legislature favor. — Eric Howlett
